Activity Report & Bio-Sensors

A flash banner.

Creation of biosensors with broad uses requires novel measurement techniques in order to take advantage of increased sensitivity and linear dose-response properties. The future no longer rests with addressing a presence vs absence response but in quantifying how many reactive substrates a sample contains. Pathfinder™ image cytometer is a powerful tool that not only quantifies biosensor responses but also takes into account imperfections and leaks of biosensors. This can be achieved through quantifying the response distribution of the biosensor in each individual cell from a huge quantity of cells. Sub-population selection, as well as information on every individual cell, including images, are easily available with a simple mouse click.

The distribution of GFP intensity (above) enables selection of responsive cells (orange) and subsequent visualization of those cells on images (orange cross). Nuclei are counterstained with DAPI.
