Karyotyping

The Pathfinder Karyo™ module enables fully automated detection and classification of chromosomes for research and diagnostic purposes. Samples can be analyzed in fluorescence or standard staining for R or G-banding.

As a first step, Metascan may automatically detect the metaphases in a defined area or within pre-detected clones then capture, at higher magnification, a chosen number of best spread metaphases ready for automated karyotyping. The capture process insures exceptional visual quality, accurate and reliable chromosome detection with user-friendly and powerful analysis software, FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliant technology.

Dedicated Karyo software allows automated detection and classification with the following features:

  • Automated and instant detection and separation of chromosomes within the metaphase.
  • Automated classification as karyotype with high accuracy for each staining and banding type.
  • Intuitive and easy-to-use correction tools for chromosome detection and classification.
  • Fully established and automated report templates for immediate use and print-out.

Since the system is intelligent, karyotyping accuracy increases at each metaphase.

CGH

The Pathfinder™ CGH module enables fully automated detection and quantitation of chromosome gains and losses for research and diagnostic purposes.

Dedicated CGH software enables automated detection and quantitation with the following features:

  • Automated and instant detection and separation of each chromosome within the metaphase
  • Automated classification in dedicated chart with high accuracy showing gains and losses for each chromosome
  • Intuitive and easy-to-use correction tools for chromosome detection and classification
  • Fully established and automated report templates for immediate use and print-out
