Proliferation

In order to determine the presence and the distrubution of tumoral cells in tissues, it is crucial to detect accurately all the cells and to be able to discriminate them from the rest of the tissue. IMSTAR solutions do not pretend to replace the expert eyes of a pathologist, but rather to enable them to focus their time on difficult cases. IMSTAR technology provides user-friendly tools to automatically screen "easy cases", freeing up the pathologist to concentrate their expertise where it is most needed. Automated screening is performed according to positivity levels determined by the expert pathologist. These features are especially useful for tissue micro-arrays studies.

  • Fully automated capture of the samples.
  • Interactive selection of sub-regions of interest by the pathologist
  • Fully automated cells detection and cell/non-cell discrimination
  • Interactive & reproducible positivity level setting
  • Fully automated proliferation index counting, in surface but also cell number ratios
  • Easy review of difficult cases
  • Fully automated, high-precision repositioning of the sample on any zone of interest for visual inspection under the eyepiece of the microscope
  • Full access to the microscope is preserved for manual use
  • Compatible with Accell robotics for fully automated processing of up to 200 slides at once

Performances:

For most applications, total time for the capture and analysis of a tissue section 1 cm² in size takes less than 4 minutes.
